CCPSA Meeting

  • Irish American Heritage Center 4626 North Knox Avenue Chicago, IL, 60630 (map)

Each year, the Commission is required by law to establish goals and expectations for the Superintendent of Police, COPA Chief Administrator and the Police Board President. Since November, Commissioners have met with these leaders, consulted experts and have crafted goals for each agency head, incorporating public input. Join CRS for the CCPSA’s public monthly meeting where the Commission will present the finalized 2024 goals.

Agenda Items include:

  • Vote to adopt the finalized 2024 goals for the CPD Superintendent, COPA Chief Administrator and Police Board President.

  • Announcement of a Special Public Meeting on February 8

  • Vote to approve CCPSA 2024 meeting calendar

  • Vote to adopt closed meetings

Those unable to attend the meeting in person can join virtually via Zoom.

The Commission allows for public comments at their monthly meetings. Each person will have up to two minutes to speak. A total of twenty minutes will be dedicated to public comment at each meeting. If you wish to speak during the virtual public comment period, kindly request to do so by reaching out to Community Commission staff by emailing CommunityCommissionPublicComment@cityofchicago.org. Those wishing to speaking during the meeting must provide their name in writing to the Commission staff between 6:00 PM and 6:30 PM. If the number of interested speakers exceeds the time dedicated to public comment, speakers will be selected by a random drawing.

Written public comments may be submitted at the meeting or by emailing CommunityCommissionPublicComment@cityofchicago.org in advance.
