Prayer Vigil for Laquan McDonald

On Monday, September 10, 2018 we came together in prayer to honor the memory of Laquan McDonald.  We also gathered to support the family as we seek justice for his murder. Laquan McDonald was killed on October 20, 2014 by Chicago Police Officer Jason Van Dyke.  Police dash cam video released over a year later showed Officer Van Dyke firing 16 shots into the teen while McDonald was walking away from him.  We seek justice in this obvious cover up. Congregations and community organizations will gather at 26th and California at 6:30 p.m.
