Rev. DeYoung is an activist, author, editor, ordained minister and previously a professor. Before becoming the Co-Chief Executive Officer of the Minnesota Council of Churches in 2017, Rev. DeYoung was an executive director at CRS. He has a history of serving congregations, addressing injustices, encouraging reconciliation and promoting unity and equity among churches and beyond.
Rev. Delk is an organizer and editor, continually challenging racism in pursuit of life, hope and freedom. She is not only the first woman to lead CRS, but the first Black executive director of our organization. She was also the first Black woman to be ordained in the United Church of Christ. Her leadership pioneered pathways to human and civil rights for people throughout five continents.
Along with the conversation and book signing in celebration of Rev. DeYoung’s well deserved retirement and Rev. Delk’s admirable activism, current CRS Executive Director Rev. Dr. Waltrina Middleton will provide a testimonal for the Joy Reid luncheon on February 21. Mark you calendar to join us from February 19 to February 22 at the Palmer House Hilton in Chicago!
