CCPSA Meeting

  • Harry S Truman College 1145 West Wilson Avenue Chicago, IL, 60640 (map)

In addition to the budget discussion, the Commission will be conducting a subject matter hearing on the public safety for workers. Representatives from labor groups that face disproportionate public safety challenges will present their issues, insights and concerns to the Commission, Chicago Police Department and Mayor’s Office. Presenting groups include mail carriers, transit workers and gig workers.

For those unable to attend the meeting in person, you can participate virtually via Zoom.

The Community Commission for Public Safety and Accountability (CCPSA) allows for public comments at their monthly meetings. Each person will have up to two minutes to speak. A total of twenty minutes will be dedicated to public comment at each meeting.

Public comments may be delivered at the meeting or by emailing CommunityCommissionPublicComment@cityofchicago.org in advance.

Those wishing to speaking during the meeting must provide their name in writing to the Community Commission staff between 6:00 PM and 6:30 PM. If the number of interested speakers exceeds the time dedicated to public comment, speakers will be selected by a random drawing.

Visit the Chicago CCPSA YouTube page for recordings of previous monthly meetings.
