On September 18, 2021, Community Renewal Society brought together activists and organizers from across the country to share ideas on police accountability during the first ever Illinois Neighbors Police Accountability Summit.  The video clip below from 4 Funky Cows Productions illustrates the reason why we came together and the urgency of this gathering.  Participants from Kenosha, WI; Ferguson, MO; Minneapolis, MN; Los Angeles, CA; and Washington, D.C. strategized and built relationships.  Their passion and commitment to changing policing in the United States will bring us closer to creating the Beloved Community.  Ideas and next steps generated from the summit will be released in the following weeks, please stay tuned by signing up for our email updates.
