Franchelle Brown is thrilled to join Community Renewal Society after accumulating 10+ years of professional communications experience, including 5 years in development manager roles at organizations like The Renaissance Collaborative Inc. and Chicago Cares. She holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from Eastern Illinois University, where she gained early experience in public speaking through radio hosting and event emceeing. She is a brilliant public speaker, author and dedicated champion for social justice and human rights. She is blessed to combine her academic background with hands-on experience to champion community-centric initiatives. Her leadership style is strength-based, candid and infused with humor! She aims to create an enjoyable and productive work environment with creativity, collaboration and a genuine passion for community progression as the pillars of our collective ethos.
When not immersed in community work, Franchelle is busy being a mom to her wonderful 6-year-old, Sloan. Her personal interests include diving into mystery novels and biographies, experimenting in the kitchen and delving into astrology. Don’t be surprised if she knows a thing or two about you once you share your birth date! She looks forward to this new journey and creating lasting memories and impactful moments within the CRS and TCR community.
