Out and Faithful: A Multifaith Celebration of Queer Spirituality and a Call to Advocacy

This free event, on National Coming Out Day, will be a celebration of spirit, words and music honoring the 50th anniversary of the ordination of Elmhurst alumnus William R. Johnson, the first openly gay person to be ordained to the Christian ministry. A panel of speakers will reflect on spirituality and human sexuality and share a call to advocacy.

Please join us at Hammerschmidt Memorial Chapel on the Elmhurst University campus, 190 S. Prospect Avenue, on October 11 from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM Central Time.

No registration is required.

Sponsored by the Elmhurst University Chaplaincy and the Illinois Conference of the United Church of Christ. Community Renewal Society is also a sponsor of this event.
